Women in particular had felt the independence of working life during the War and so demand for labour-saving devices was high in order to improve the quality of life. Here we see a television, an electric whisk; a rotisserie grill; a washing machine, an electric oven; a refrigerator, and fluorescent lighting strips, amongst other items.
